The United States Constitution was put forth by men of faith according to their understanding, and written documentation of such: .
"....We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America...." .
President (1797-1801) John Adams, - " Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious people.
It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.". See "PURPOSEFUL QUOTATIONS, THEN AND NOW" . The U. S. Constitution-Article VII:

Presidt and deputy from Virginia...... . . President ( 1789-1797 ) George Washington: - " It is impossible to rightly govern, ...without GOD and the Bible." In 1789 George Washington passed into law, The Northwest Ordinance, Article III, which emphasized the importance of religion to the territories: "Religion, morality and knowledge, being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged."
Before The Constitution was drafted, The Declaration of Independence was presented: IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776:
The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,..:

with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness...."
We can all agree that free speech is considered one of our finest and most valuable "Rights" and "Blessings of Liberty". It cannot by law, be impeded or intimidated by any executive, congressional or legislative branches of government, and the founders, men of integrity and responsibility, meant it to be used with just that: integrity and responsibility, as is required of any effective and workable system.
That the men of faith who so ably composed the two above mentioned Documents, considered the importance of the Judgment of said "Creator", is evident, documented and unchallengable.
President ( 1801-1809 ) Thomas Jefferson: " I have always said, and always will say, that the studious perusal of the Sacred Volume ( Holy Bible), will make us better citizens." ...
Isaiah 28:17
Judgment also will I Lay to the Line, and Righteousness ...
... hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, ...
They understood fully, that GOD The CREATOR of all the Cosmos, the Heavens and the Earth IS Sovereign; and it was their evident desire to " form a more perfect union" in a nation that stood by that ideology, unabashedly; with the wisdom and the knowledge that thereby, this fledgling country could succeed only with His Blessings; with painstaking care not to provoke and suffer His Wrath.

Thomas Jefferson, as referred to a special committee: " The use of the Bible is so universal, and Its Importance so Great, ... your committee recommends that Congress will order the Committee of Commerce to import 20,000 Bibles from Holland, Scotland or elsewhere, into the different parts of the States of the Union."

Let us all in all nations, with responsibility therefore, not stray from the foundation by which we all were Created; keeping in mind in all of our "so called" interpretations of law, that said foundation is by which we stand, and by which we shall not fail.
