Quite a year, 2001; so full of calamity, so weepingly tragic, so historically important, so 'politically liberal.'When you think about it, who, of any outspoken, recent political prominence is not a 'liberal'?
House leading Reps. Armey and Delay, among others, who so lamented during the Clinton Administration for the tortured babies victimized by the horrific partial birth abortion procedure, never openly peeped about it since: liberal?
The American media, having so urgent and busy a time reporting on the war, abroad, but never reporting on the war 'against the child' at home, namely, our own children mercilessly slaughtered by the thousands in the good ole USA: liberal.
Pres. George W. Bush, earnestly and admirably got an education bill passed, money for the homeless, a taxcut passed, ...; but never once, after elected, mentioned the Hallmark of the Compassionate Conservatives, not yet one word of encouragement to the greatly concerned, namely, saving the innocent lives of the unborn and practically born: liberal?
Largely pro choice Republican Administration: liberal?
Mayor Rudy Giulanni, deservedly appreciated hero to the stunned masses of New York and to the nation; but pro choice enemy of the innocent unborn, almost born: liberal?
One recent, prominent voice compassionately rang out, that of long time Senator Jesse Helms (R - NC) : " For these babies, ( for these thousands of victims of merciless abortion, daily, in our land ), every day is Sept.11."
Hello.
Maybe when this country acquires a preponderance of real compassion in a Party, one that is not, as they say in Greek, "Ketsy, ketsy", which means basically: sort of pregnant, there will be aid to change, there will be real aid to true peace and freedom.
Run, Jesse, run.
For, as for war, the 'politically liberal' have it coming.
