"The Head Of The Year"

Rosh Hashana opens the Jewish High Holy days,
a ten day period ending with Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement..
It is a time of introspection, looking back at the past year and planning changes for the new one..
Rosh Hashanah is the first and second days of the first Jewish month of Tishrei.
.
It marks the beginning of the Jewish New Year.
The celebration of this holiday is marked with solemnity, as it is
the day on which the whole world is Judged for the coming year.

Rosh Hashanah is the birthday of the world, as it was on this day
that GOD Created Man on the 6th day of Creation.
Every year, on this day, GOD Is Proclaimed  as the One and True KING.

A favorite greeting at the new year is "L'shanah Tovah",
a shortened version of the wish that GOD will Grant the hearer a good year.

I Kings 10:9; Isaiah 5:16
Blessed be The LORD your GOD, which Delights in you,
to Set you on the throne of Israel: because the LORD Loved Israel for ever,
therefore Made He thee king, to do judgment and justice..

But The LORD of Hosts shall be Exalted in Judgment,
and GOD that IS Holy shall be Sanctified in Righteousness.

ur FATHER In Heaven,

Your Compassionate Mercy, Your Infallible Judgment
Are our Guide and our Salvation.

How Blessed this is to us,
that we may have hope and the Promise that proceeds from Your Glory,
Your Wisdom, Your Merciful Righteousness
.
Which frees us from the Spirit of Evil that causes us to greatly err
 and that leads to many sorrows.

For the time is come that Judgment must begin at the House of GOD: ...

from the power of evil to GOD.  ...

Be you therefore merciful, as your FATHER also Is Merciful..

Help us to overcome all that is unrighteous and destructive as we turn to You
for Your Guidance, Patience and Mercy,
O GOD of Forgiveness and Salvation.
